DAY 1: Aeroport-Ploiesti-Slanic Prahova Salt Mine-Sinaia-Poiana Brasov
Arrival to Romania on Henry Coanda airport. Meeting with our representative on the airport who will take you to the bus and departure to the mountains. Visit to Beth Israel Synagogue in Ploiesti . Visit to Slanic Prahova salt mine. Departure to Sinaia and visit to Peles castle. Departure to Poiana Brasov resort for accommodation and dinner. Accommodation on HB basis in Poiana Brasov resort
DAY 2: Poiana Brasov-Brasov-Bran-Moieciu-Dambovicioara
Breakfast at the hotel. Brasov city tour. Visit to Black church& Synagogue. Visit to Bran castle and optional carriage ride and lunch at Moeciu. Departure to Dambovicioara and visit the area. Return to Poiana Brasov resort for accommodation and dinner. Return to Poiana Brasov resort for accommodation and dinner.
DAY 3: Poiana Brasov-Sibiu-Sighisoara
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Departure to Sibiu with stop in Sighisoara. Visit the Synagogue and the towers from citadel. Departure to Sibiu in the afternoon. Accommodation and dinner in Sibiu
DAY 4: Sibiu
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for full day trip to Sibiu. Panoramic tour of the old town including the medieval fortifications followed by walking city tour which will take you to the Great and Lesser Market Squares, Bruckenthal Museum the Liar’s Bridge and the Sibiu Great Synagogue. In the afternoon, dinner in Sibiel at a farmers’ house with folkloric program. Accommodation in Sibiu.
DAY 5: Sibiu-Alba Iulia-Turda-Cluj
Breakfast and check out from the hotel. Departure to Alba Iulia: short city tour of the historical centre with visit of the catholic cathedral and of the old fortress, built by Eugen of Savoya. Afterwards drive further to Turda and visit of the Sault mine. Accommodation and dinner in Cluj
DAY 6: Cluj-Sighetul Marmatiei-Baia Mare
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for full day visit of Maramures area including the Synagogue in Sighet as well as a guided tour of the birth house of the famous Elie Wiesel, the Nobel Prize Winner. His house is now a museum of the local Jewish Community. Next is the Anti Communist Memorial providing a direct connection to Romania’s most recent history. Visit “Eli Weizel” house and open Village Museum. Visit to Sapanta Happy Cemetery. Accommodation and dinner in Baia Mare.
DAY 7: Baia Mare-Targu Mures
Breakfast and check out from the hotel. Departure to Targu Mures for visits: Medieval Citadel, Orthodox Cathedral, Catholic catedral, The Israely Temple. Accommodation in Targu Mures
DAY 8: Targu Mures-Piatra Neamt
Breakfast and check out from the hotel. Departure by bus to Piatra Neamt and visit of the Jewish heritage. Depending on time left the group can visit Targu Neamt aria with Agapia and Varatec monasteries. Accommodation and dinner in Piatra Neamt
DAY 9: Piatra Neamt-Targu Frumos-Iasi
Breakfast and check out from the hotel. Departure by bus for visit to Targu Frumos and Iasi. Accommodation and dinner in Iasi. Iasi – city tour which includes: The palace of Culture, Trei Ierarhi church, National Theatre, Synagogue and Jewish cemetery.
DAY 10: Iasi-Buzau-Tulcea
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Departure to memorial ceremony for the World War II from Iasi. Departure to Tulcea through Buzau. Visit to Mud Volcanos from Magura Buzaului. Accommodation in Tulcea
DAY 11: Tulcea-Bucuresti
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and departure to Bucharest. Panoramic tour of Bucharest. Visit to Synagogue. Dinner at Pescarus restaurant or similar with folkloric program. Accommodation in Bucharest
DAY 12: Bucuresti
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Palace of Parliament. Visit the old streets of Bucharest by foot. Depending the time, free time for shopping at Baneasa Mall. Check out and departure to Henry Coanda airport.
